Wall Mounted Photo Frames

Create a modern stunning display with our wall mounted crystal clear acrylic photo frames / poster kit.   Made from the highest quality 4mm thick crystal clear acrylic, there is nothing to distract from your artwork as images contained within appear to float on any wall. 

Our wall mounted acrylic frames comprise two 4mm thick acrylic panels held together by 4 polished chrome wall mounts (6 wall mounts on A1 and A2 size frames) which trap together your photograph, poster or artwork.   This makes changing your displays easy and quick to do.  The frame is easy to secure to your wall yourself.

Available in a  range of popular sizes, our frame sizes listed include the print size plus an extra 40mm border around the print to allow space for the wall mounts.    All of the clear acrylic frames are suitable to display smaller prints than stated.

Fixing Your Acrylic Frame

All frames are made up using two pieces of clear as glass 4mm thick acrylic and fix into place with polished chrome wall mounts which support the frame 19mm from the wall.

A3, A4 and A5 frames are supplied with 13mm holes and 4 polished chrome wall mounts.

A1 and A2 frames are supplied with 19mm holes and 6 polished chrome wall mounts for extra support. 

5mm screws are required for mounting which are not supplied.

We drill holes 25mm fro the edge unless you specify otherwise.  There is room in our checkout to add notes about a preference if you have one.

How does Vuplex work ?
Vuplex works using five functions in one quick action.
1. It cleans using safe ingredients that wont damage plastic surfaces.
2. It applies a fine coating of wax that gives the surface protection from micro scratching.
3. The wax acts as a barrier against water (hydrophobic) and other atmospheric conditions that cause aging and a break down of clarity.
4. Static that is built up in the plastic surface and attracts other abrasive material such as dust, is controlled by VuPlexs anti-static properties.
5. VuPlex polishes to a high shine and restores the lustre and new look to the surface. The finish is not sticky or greasy and can be achieved in mere seconds.
How should I clean acrylic ?
The team here at The Plastic People are often asked about how to care for acrylic.  Acrylic should not be cleaned with chemical cleaners as this will very likely lead to damage.  Cleaning acrylic should be with warm soapy water and a soft cotton cloth.  We are impressed with a cleaning product called Vuplex which polishes acrylic to a high shine in minutes, keeping acrylic looking like brand new.   It also protects new plastic from scratches and grime and restores plastic which has fine scratches and in ground grime. For this reason we sell Vuplex at a  promotional price of £5.99.
What is the difference between Perspex and acrylic ?
What is known as Perspex is really a brand of acrylic.

Acrylic is common thermoplastic.  It's chemical name is polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA).  PMMA was invented in 1933.  Acrylic became available for commercial use under various protected trademarks such as Perspex®.  Other trademarks include are Plexiglas®,  Acrylite®,  Altuglas® and Lucite Plazcryl®,.

Delivery

We offer a range of delivery options to suit our customer's needs.

Standard Delivery - £15.00
Orders are delivered using our standard delivery service unless you choose otherwise. Standard delivery is charged at £15.00 for most UK postcode areas, however postcodes with prefix letters PA and PH are charged at £30 and postcodes with prefix letters BT, GY, HS, IM, IV, JE, KW, PO, TR and ZE are charged at £40.
The cost of delivery will be displayed as you go through checkout.  

Next Day Delivery - £21.00
We can deliver orders for clear acrylic & polycarbonate (up to 12mm thick), silver acrylic mirror and flexi-edge using our next day delivery service. Orders for next day delivery must be received before 1pm. Orders placed after 1pm selecting next day delivery will be delivered the following working day after. Please note that we define ‘working days’ as Monday to Friday excluding weekends and public holidays.
Unfortunately, we are unable to send orders for next day delivery to postcodes with prefix letters BT, GY, HS, IM, IV, JE, KW, PA, PH, PO, TR and ZE. This is because these postcodes require a longer lead time by our couriers.
Where we can provide next day delivery of your order, we will offer this as an option for you to select at checkout. 

Named Day Delivery - £21.00
We can also deliver on your chosen day to make it easier for you to be home when your order arrives. As you checkout, choose the date you'd like us to deliver on and we'll work to that.
Unfortunately, we are unable to send orders for named day delivery to postcodes with prefix letters BT, GY, HS, IM, IV, JE, KW, PA, PH, PO, TR and ZE. This is because these postcodes require a longer lead time by our couriers.
Where we can provide Named Day Delivery of your order we will offer this as an option for you to select at checkout.
  
Safe Delivery
If we think that your order cannot be delivered safely using our standard service, we will contact you to let you know and discuss the delivery options with you. This normally is only the case for orders so large they need to be delivered on a pallet.  

 

Delivery Times

Orders that aren't being sent on our Next Day or Named Day service will be dispatched as quickly as possible.
Cut-to-size orders are usually delivered within 3 working days. Orders with optional extras or cut-to-shape pieces are usually delivered within 5 working days. These times are based on receiving orders by 1pm.
Once you have added items to the shopping basket, your estimated delivery date will be displayed so that you can see it before choosing to order with us.
Please note that the date supplied at checkout is an estimated date. Please allow time to receive and check your order before you need to use the material or before contractors are due to begin work.
 

Collection

You are welcome to collect your order at our Trade Counter in the Cross Green area of Leeds. This service is free of charge.
If you wish to collect your order instead of having it delivered, please select this option from the dropdown menu when going through the checkout process.
Our Trade Counter is open from 8am until 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8am until 3pm on Fridays. We are closed on weekends and bank holidays.
 

Special Instructions

About Delivery
If you would like to provide any specific delivery instructions, please let us know in the ‘Order Delivery Notes’ box as you go through the checkout. Notes left in this box will be sent directly to the carrier company to assist with the delivery of your order.  You can either choose from our special delivery messages or leave your own. Please note our carriers are unable to call you prior to your delivery and are unable to accept new delivery information once your order has left us.  

About Your Order
If you would like to provide any notes to accompany your order, such as the size of drilled holes or the radius of rounded corners, please leave them in the ‘Order Notes’ box as you checkout. Please use this box to leave us any information regarding the production of your order. Please do not leave delivery instructions here as these notes do not get passed through to the carriers

When you place an order with us you can expect:

  • an email from our courier to let you know delivery details, including the option to re-arrange

  • your order to arrive safely in excellent condition.


That's because we invest in a careful packaging and delivery service:

  • we carefully cover your plastic to safeguard it during transit

  • we add extra protection around all corners, which are more vulnerable

  • we finish our protective packaging with a sturdy outer

  • we send your plastic to you using reputable tracked services

  • our plastic is also protected by film on both sides so when you receive it simply peel this off to reveal your plastic.

 

Receiving Your Delivery

Someone needs to sign for your order as it is delivered. If you are out when our courier delivers they will leave a card for you to contact them with details on how to pick up your order or rearrange delivery for a more convenient time.

If you know you're not going to be in, you can always provide an alternative delivery address as you place your order with us. For example, a neighbours, relatives or work address.

Please note that we cannot cover the cost of any onward delivery or shipping costs once your item has been delivered by our carriers.


Damages
We take great care packing our orders to make sure that your delivery reaches you in perfect condition.

In the unlikely event that your order arrives with any signs of damage, please sign for it as DAMAGED upon delivery. 

Please email us a photograph of the damage along with your order number within 14 days of receipt and we will get a replacement sent out to you. Please keep your packaging and do not use the damaged goods, so they can be collected and returned to us if necessary.


No Quibble Returns
We aim to please. If we supply imperfect goods or get your order wrong please email and tell us within 14 days and we will replace your order without fuss. Please keep the protective film on the plastic and don't try to use it.

If you want to return plastic to us you the cost of doing so is your responsibility.  We recommend that you use a delivery service which insures the value of the order as the plastic remains your responsibility until it reaches us at:

Cancellations
You have the right to cancel your order for any item purchased from The Plastic People for a full refund except bespoke, cut to size or cut to shape orders made to your specific specifications. If you wish to cancel your order please email us, quoting your order number, within 14 days of the day after you receive the goods.
