Like other plywood, Elliottis plywood provides a smooth surface for painting or laminates. If you are going to paint your plywood, just remember that plywood to absorb a lot of paint. So it’s important to use a suitable primer or sealant to ensure a smooth and professional finish to your DIY project.

Storage
Whilst every effort is made to ensure your wood products arrive in pristine condition care must be taken on delivery to ensure your products are not damaged and to keep them wrapped until needed in a cool, dry place. We sell MDF, Plywood and OSB which have varying degree of manufacturing treatments including flame and moisture resistance. Whilst these products are resilient, they mustn’t be stored or used outside as the elements would delaminate and perish your item especially if they get wet or affected by frost. Some treated wood products are water resistant, not waterproof.
Adhesives & Sealants
When using any adhesives or sealants with your wood sheet product great care must be taken in ensuring its compatibility. Some products can react adversely and either not bond/seal properly or create a poor finish which isn’t good if its going to be visible. Refer to our web pages for advice if unsure. Check your sealant/adhesives ‘use by date’ to ensure its still current for best performance in your project.
