The coloured acrylic glass we supply is from the Perspex® brand – however our white, black and opal acrylics are supplied from other brands.

Where Can Coloured Acrylic Glass Be Used?

Coloured acrylic glass is suitable for a wide range of uses. This includes glazing, sculptures, furniture, splashbacks – and even works for subtle outdoor garden and patio decoration.

We also supply opal acrylic 050 which has a light transmission of 37%. If you require translucent acrylic with a light transmission of 70%, please specify opal acrylic 030 in the Order Notes box you’ll see at the checkout. This type of acrylic is mainly used for creating light boxes and illuminated signage.

With coloured Perspex® sheets cut to size, you can tailor your order to suit whatever bespoke requirements you might have in mind.

You can also purchase coloured acrylic sheeting in 14 different colours and 2 different sizes if you prefer.

Ordering Coloured Acrylic Cut to Size

Ordering coloured acrylic sheets cut to size is simple with The Plastic People. In order to get a cut to size quote, you’ll need to let us know some specific details about your potential order.

First and foremost, there are 18 different colours to choose from – so you’ll need to choose a coloured acrylic that suits your personal requirements.

Before you measure up to find out exactly how much you need, just know that we work in centimetres, millimetres and inches. So, whatever unit you’re most comfortable with is fine. All you need to do is enter your chosen width, length and thickness.

There is a maximum width and length, however. You’ll see this clearly displayed on the quote calculator for reference. You can also add some optional extras to your order if required.

For instance, we can drill holes into cut to size coloured acrylic glass. You can let us know the specific positioning of the holes in the comments box at the online checkout – or alternatively, you can upload a drawing (files only a maximum of 5MB) if you feel that best articulates your requirements. Just bear in mind that holes can be drilled no further than 15mm from the edge of the plastic.

If you want holes drilled, then you’re likely to need screws, screw covers or rubber stops to help fix the plastic in place. You can also add these to your order or even your initial quote just to get an idea of total costings.

Ordering Coloured Acrylic Cut to Shape

As well as choosing from 18 different colours, you can also select six different shapes for your order to be cut into.

This includes:-

• T-Shape.
• L-Shape.
• Triangle.
• Semi-Circle.
• Circle.
• Oval.

Again, when it comes to coloured Perspex® cut to shape – you’ll need to let us know the specific dimensions you require in millimetres, centimetres or inches.

This includes the thickness, width and length – however, for the more circular shapes, you’ll need to have a diameter measurement in mind before you place your order.

We can also send over a quote for a different cut to bespoke shape order provided you email a drawing across to us. The same optional extras can also be added to coloured Perspex cut to shape order.

How to Clean Coloured Acrylic

Use warm water with a small amount of mild detergent and a soft cotton cloth to clean acrylic. Alternatively we're very impressed with the results from acrylic cleaner VuPlex which polishes acrylic to a high shine in seconds. Delivery Options

We recommend that you purchase a sample to check colour before placing larger orders – just to make sure you know exactly what you’re getting.

Translucent acrylic allows a transmission of a minimal amount of light. Whilst you cannot see through the translucent acrylic, an object behind it would show a shadow. Solid acrylic colours on the other hand, are not see-through – so it’s worth bearing this in mind before you place an order.
