Lean-to Bar with End Cap

The Snapa Lean-to Bar with End Cap is designed to fit multiwall polycarbonate sheets onto rafters. Made from high quality PVC this economical glazing bar ideal for smaller DIY projects such as canopies, carports, verandas and covered walkways.

The Snapa Lean-to Bar with End Cap simply sits onto of a rafter thanks to its unique quick one-snap PVC top cover. It is available in various lengths above to minimise wastage.

This lean-to bar achieves a smart appearance when used as part of the Snapa glazing system and offers great strength for small DIY projects.

Snapa has a PVC base bar featuring a toothed upstand with locking points for securing the PVC-u top capping. It also features an angled profile, making it effective for use on hip rafters or standard rafters and has long-lasting EPDM rubber gaskets to cushion and seal the underside of the polycarbonate. The capping has coextruded seals that form a weather-tight pressure seal on the top of glazing material once the PVC-u capping has been pressed firmly into position. The co-extruded gaskets on upper and lower profiles meaning quicker installation time as well as providing a neater finish internal at the gasket abutment area.

Retro-fitted to existing timber roofs, SNAPA can encase and seal problem leak areas. SNAPA is equally effective on new installations too, offering a low-cost, long-life capping solution.

If greater strength is required or you’re fitting a self-supporting system, we recommend either Alukap-XR or Alukap-SS polycarbonate glazing bars.

Use With

Use Snapa glazing bars with 10mm, 16mm, 25mm, 32mm & 35mm multiwall polycarbonate

Protective Films

All plastic sheet products will have a Clear, Blue or White protective film on both sides or a combination of all three. This is to protect during transit and needs removing before usage. Sometimes it can be difficult to peel off but use a thumbnail gently on any corner to lift and peel. Alternatively gently wet any corner with a cloth to separate film and peel.

Adhesives & Sealants

When using any adhesives or sealants with your plastic sheet product great care must be taken in ensuring its compatibility. Some products can react adversely and either not bond/seal properly or would cause the acrylic to cloud or become white at the bond line. Refer to our web pages for advice if unsure. Check your sealant/adhesives ‘use by date’ to ensure its still current for best performance in your project.
