ALUKAP-XR Hip Bar
The ALUKAP-XR Hip Bar is part of the excellent ALUKAP-XR glazing bar range, an all round winning solution for long lasting watertight performance, quality aesthetics and a reduced installation time, saving you time and money.
This Hip Bar is designed with extra upstand height and an overhanging top cap. The extra height gives the needed capacity to accept glazing from two different angles, as is required at a hip rafter. The full aluminium snap cover means that perfect, leak-proof abutments can be made unencumbered during installation and sealant applied, if necessary, before snapping on the upper aluminium profile cover which acts as double protection.

Fitting Instructions
If you are buying online, payments can be made securely by credit, debit card and PayPal.
You can display pricing as 'excluding' or 'including' VAT on our website. A break-down at final check-out will illustrate all the costs incurred including shipping and VAT. Any VAT exception would be established based on geographic location (postcode) at the time of ordering.

We offer three delivery options, Standard (from £9.96), Next Day (from £24.00) and Named Day (from £33.00). Delivery options will be dependent on material availability, lead-time and geographic location.
When ordering, an estimated delivery date will be offered before payment. Depending on material, any fabrication work needed (polished edges, drilled holes, rounded corners) and geographic location; you'll have the opportunity to choose a delivery option to suit you at checkout. You can even collect in-person.

Yes. When proceeding to check-out you'll have the option of collection, we are based in Leeds (LS9 0DX). Our Collection Point is open from 8.00am until 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am until 3.00pm on Fridays. We are closed on weekends and bank holidays. We'll email you when your order is ready to collect.
Protective Films
All plastic sheet products will have a Clear, Blue or White protective film on both sides or a combination of all three. This is to protect during transit and needs removing before usage. Sometimes it can be difficult to peel off but use a thumbnail gently on any corner to lift and peel. Alternatively gently wet any corner with a cloth to separate film and peel.
Adhesives & Sealants
When using any adhesives or sealants with your plastic sheet product great care must be taken in ensuring its compatibility. Some products can react adversely and either not bond/seal properly or would cause the acrylic to cloud or become white at the bond line. Refer to our web pages for advice if unsure. Check your sealant/adhesives ‘use by date’ to ensure its still current for best performance in your project.
Delivery Damages
You have 14 days from receiving your order to report any visible damages. Please email a photograph of the damage along with your order number and contact details as soon as possible to service@theplasticpeople.co.uk. We'll arrange a refund or replacement for you as soon as we receive this. Please keep your packaging and do not use the damaged goods, so they can be collected and returned to us if necessary.
