Made from acrylic our letters are safe and long lasting
We use high quality clear acrylic supplied by leading brand names in the industry. We also offer lettering in a wide variety of high quality coloured acrylic including Perspex®. Acrylic is durable, strong and lightweight. In comparison to glass, it is 10 x stronger and around half the weight. It looks as clear as glass and has a high gloss finish. We cut our letters and numbers utilizing a precision laser cutter giving a consistent, uniform and smooth edged finish. We can now laser cut and shape almost any material, from sheet plastics like Acrylic to wood including MDF, Plywood and OSB board.
How To Order
- Choose the thickness of your lettering.
- Enter your height in our calculator above. Please enter the height of a capital letter in your chosen font - even if you require lower-case. It is the height of a capital letter which you should specifiy.
- Choose your font (also known as typeface).
- Enter your text in the case (upper or lower) you require. This is case sensitive so it is important to enter the characters exactly as you require. The cost of your order will be calculated as you type.
- The sides of the letters can also be polished. For this, tick the Polished Edges box.
Bespoke Orders
We can manufacture nearly any type of letter or pattern to almost any specification and size up to 3m high. Please contact our friendly customer services team who will be happy to help with larger specific requirements or if you would like to order letters in bulk.
If you are buying online, payments can be made securely by credit, debit card and PayPal.
You can display pricing as 'excluding' or 'including' VAT on our website. A break-down at final check-out will illustrate all the costs incurred including shipping and VAT. Any VAT exception would be established based on geographic location (postcode) at the time of ordering.

We offer three delivery options, Standard (from £9.96), Next Day (from £24.00) and Named Day (from £33.00). Delivery options will be dependent on material availability, lead-time and geographic location.
When ordering, an estimated delivery date will be offered before payment. Depending on material, any fabrication work needed (polished edges, drilled holes, rounded corners) and geographic location; you'll have the opportunity to choose a delivery option to suit you at checkout. You can even collect in-person.

Yes. When proceeding to check-out you'll have the option of collection, we are based in Leeds (LS9 0DX). Our Collection Point is open from 8.00am until 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am until 3.00pm on Fridays. We are closed on weekends and bank holidays. We'll email you when your order is ready to collect.
Protective Films
All plastic sheet products will have a Clear, Blue or White protective film on both sides or a combination of all three. This is to protect during transit and needs removing before usage. Sometimes it can be difficult to peel off but use a thumbnail gently on any corner to lift and peel. Alternatively gently wet any corner with a cloth to separate film and peel.
Adhesives & Sealants
When using any adhesives or sealants with your plastic sheet product great care must be taken in ensuring its compatibility. Some products can react adversely and either not bond/seal properly or would cause the acrylic to cloud or become white at the bond line. Refer to our web pages for advice if unsure. Check your sealant/adhesives ‘use by date’ to ensure its still current for best performance in your project.
Delivery Damages
You have 14 days from receiving your order to report any visible damages. Please email a photograph of the damage along with your order number and contact details as soon as possible to service@theplasticpeople.co.uk. We'll arrange a refund or replacement for you as soon as we receive this. Please keep your packaging and do not use the damaged goods, so they can be collected and returned to us if necessary.
