ALUKAP®-XR: 45mm BAR
The Alukap®-XR 45mm Glazing Bar System is world leading with its all-aluminium full cover concealed cap system, which eliminates the need for any unsightly plastic caps or connectors.
The high quality multi-fin gasket system combined with the variable pressure fixing screws (supplied) allows glazing from zero degrees pitch to vertical glazing designs.
The robust aluminium base bar and cover cap are ideal for securing glass or multiwall polycarbonate to hardwood, steel, or any other substructure.
Alukap®-XR 45mm Glazing Bar System provides excellent aesthetics and naturally aligns to structures with 45mm rafters, although it can be used for rafters of any thickness. The 45mm Alukap®-XR system also comes with Wall Bars and Gable Bars to suit any terminating rafter scenario.
ALUKAP-XR rafter gaskets make installation of ALUKAP-XR glazing bars quicker and easier. Use 1m of rafter gasket for every 1m of ALUKAP-XR glazing bars ordered.

We offer three delivery options, Standard (from £9.96), Next Day (from £24.00) and Named Day (from £33.00). Delivery options will be dependent on material availability, lead-time and geographic location.
When ordering, an estimated delivery date will be offered before payment. Depending on material, any fabrication work needed (polished edges, drilled holes, rounded corners) and geographic location; you'll have the opportunity to choose a delivery option to suit you at checkout. You can even collect in-person.

Yes. When proceeding to check-out you'll have the option of collection, we are based in Leeds (LS9 0DX). Our Collection Point is open from 8.00am until 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am until 3.00pm on Fridays. We are closed on weekends and bank holidays. We'll email you when your order is ready to collect.
Protective Films
All plastic sheet products will have a Clear, Blue or White protective film on both sides or a combination of all three. This is to protect during transit and needs removing before usage. Sometimes it can be difficult to peel off but use a thumbnail gently on any corner to lift and peel. Alternatively gently wet any corner with a cloth to separate film and peel.
Adhesives & Sealants
When using any adhesives or sealants with your plastic sheet product great care must be taken in ensuring its compatibility. Some products can react adversely and either not bond/seal properly or would cause the acrylic to cloud or become white at the bond line. Refer to our web pages for advice if unsure. Check your sealant/adhesives ‘use by date’ to ensure its still current for best performance in your project.
Delivery Damages
You have 14 days from receiving your order to report any visible damages. Please email a photograph of the damage along with your order number and contact details as soon as possible to service@theplasticpeople.co.uk. We'll arrange a refund or replacement for you as soon as we receive this. Please keep your packaging and do not use the damaged goods, so they can be collected and returned to us if necessary.
