Our FDA approved PETG is a clear plastic that is ideal for use with food. It is incredibly versatile, chemical resistant and easy to process, form and fabricate with no requirement to pre-dry.
It's strength, transparency and weather resistance also make our PETG an ideal choice for glazing indoors and outdoors. Some customers use it as a popular alternative to glass, for picture framing and for greenhouse glazing. With its wide range of thermoforming applications it is also a top choice for our trade customers especially for protecting things used for display purposes e.g covers, poster protectors, bus shelters, price tag holders.

Next Day Delivery - £33.00 (Important)
We can fulfill orders for clear Acrylic (Perspex), Polycarbonate and PETG next day delivery (postcodes apply). Please order before 1pm. Orders received after 1pm will be delivered the following working day after. Working days are Monday to Friday; weekends and public holidays are excluded.
If any items ordered on a next day delivery are out of stock, we will contact you to organise alternative arrangements.
Next day delivery can only be fulfilled on these products if:-
- We receive your order before 1pm.
- The product is straight cut, no shapes.
- No finishing or fabrication work required like polished edges or holes.
- Your postcode area is within achievable delivery time limits.
PETG FAQs
How does PETG compare to acrylic and polycarbonate?
PETG falls in the middle between acrylic and polycarbonate in terms of strength. It is much stronger than acrylic but not as strong as polycarbonate. For comparison: acrylic is 17× stronger than glass, PETG is 70× stronger than glass, and polycarbonate is 200× stronger than glass.
The standout points for PETG are its FDA approval for food safety and its ease of use. PETG is much easier to work and fabricate with (both DIY and professionally) than polycarbonate.

We offer three delivery options, Standard (from £9.96), Next Day (from £24.00) and Named Day (from £33.00). Delivery options will be dependent on material availability, lead-time and geographic location.
When ordering, an estimated delivery date will be offered before payment. Depending on material, any fabrication work needed (polished edges, drilled holes, rounded corners) and geographic location; you'll have the opportunity to choose a delivery option to suit you at checkout. You can even collect in-person.
To track your DX consignment have your tracking number, calling card number, consignment number or customer reference ready. You may also be asked for your delivery postcode.

Yes. When proceeding to check-out you'll have the option of collection, we are based in Leeds (LS9 0DX). Our Collection Point is open from 8.00am until 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am until 3.00pm on Fridays. We are closed on weekends and bank holidays. We'll email you when your order is ready to collect.
Protective Films
All plastic sheet products will have a Clear, Blue or White protective film on both sides or a combination of all three. This is to protect during transit and needs removing before usage. Sometimes it can be difficult to peel off but use a thumbnail gently on any corner to lift and peel. Alternatively gently wet any corner with a cloth to separate film and peel.
Adhesives & Sealants
When using any adhesives or sealants with your plastic sheet product great care must be taken in ensuring its compatibility. Some products can react adversely and either not bond/seal properly or would cause the acrylic to cloud or become white at the bond line. Refer to our web pages for advice if unsure. Check your sealant/adhesives ‘use by date’ to ensure its still current for best performance in your project.
Delivery Damages
You have 14 days from receiving your order to report any visible damages. Please email a photograph of the damage along with your order number and contact details as soon as possible to service@theplasticpeople.co.uk. We'll arrange a refund or replacement for you as soon as we receive this. Please keep your packaging and do not use the damaged goods, so they can be collected and returned to us if necessary.
