Flame retardant MDF board

Our flame retardant MDF (FR MDF) has been developed specifically for use in situations where a Euroclass B flame retardant panel is required under building regulations. Buy flame retardant MDF online (class B) and we will cut and size it to your specific measurements. Our MDF FR is developed specifically for situations where a Euro Class B flame retardant board is required. It important you pick the correct type of MDF if you need to follow certain building regulations. For situations requiring moisture resistant MDF we stock that as well.

FR MDF applications

There are many instances where using flame retardant MDF is necessary, not only in your home, but in buildings where fire protection is the number one priority. Public buildings, sea vessels and the automotive industry for example can all benefit from flame retardant MDF online. FR MDF has many non-structural uses, including furniture and décor. It can also be used in partitions, ceilings, internal walls, and more. It is recommended to use FR MDF for internal applications.

Fire retardant MDF thickness

We provide FR MDF in both 11mm and 18mm thicknesses. When choosing which thickness to use in your project, consider how it will be used and whether or not it needs to bear weight. Thickness available: 11mm FR MDF, 18mm FR MDF. If you aren’t sure which thickness is best for you, please get in touch and we will be able to provide some guidance.

FR MDF board cut to any size or shape

We offer custom cutting for your FR MDF sheets to save you the hassle of doing it yourself. We can cut your sheets to any size or shape. We can also do custom cutouts, so that when your FR MDF sheets are delivered to your door you’ll be ready to get started right away.

What makes FR MDF flame retardant?

FR MDF is made using a fire retardant adhesive. This creates a finished product that is highly resistant to flame spread, but is still considered combustible. The highest rating is Class A, so a Class B rating is still highly flame retardant. For full specifications see our FR MDF data sheet or contact a member of our team. "
