Number of Holes

Please enter how many holes you would like drilling.

Location - If you order standard holes we will drill 5mm holes centred 25mm from the edges in each corner or evenly spaced (depending on how many you order) unless you tell us otherwise.  For panels 150mm wide or less the holes will be centred 15mm from the edge of the material unless you tell us otherwise. To avoid compromising the material, holes cannot be centred any closer to the edge than 15mm. If you order less than four holes please tell us where you would like them drilled.

Size -  we drill holes to a maximum diameter of 20mm. If you need anything above this size please order it as as 'Cut-Out'.

Giving Us Instructions - you can specify your hole diameter and location as you checkout. Please provide your instructions in our 'Special Comments’ box which you will see before you pay for your order.

Alternatively, if you have a drawing you can upload it and attach it with your order.

That’s it. If we have any question’s we’ll be in touch. Thanks.

Greenhouse Polycarbonate Sheets - Cut To Shape

Choose Superstrong Greenhouse Polycarbonate Sheets here at The Plastic People and create a virtually indestructible greenhouse. The panels that we have are lighter than glass yet also 250 x stronger.   We also offer a Cut To Shape service so you can have polycarbonate bgreenhouse panels to your specific shape requirements - access this in the tool above. They also come in both cut to size and standard sizes, to suit all requirements.

When selecting your greenhouse plastic sheets we recommend a minimum gauge of 3mm for adequate rigidity.  This is because some customers have told us 2mm thick polycarbonate can be 'too bendy' particularly on larger panel sizes.

Rest assured that as well as our polycarbonate sheets for greenhouses being 250x stronger than glass, they are also half its weight making it a superb and easy to use choice to replace broken or existing glass panels.   Polycarbonate is also much stronger than acrylic alternatives.  Because polycarbonate is so strong you can be confident you'll not need to replace your polycarbonate panels anytime soon.

Our greenhouse polycarbonate sheets also come with a 10 year guarantee against yellowing, ageing and hailstones, for added peace of mind.

We also supply:

Acrylic Standard Sized Greenhouse Panels
Acrylic Cut to Size Greenhouse Panels
Polycarbonate Standard Sized Greenhouse Panels
Polycarbonate Cut to Size Greenhouse Panels

How To Order your Greenhouse Plastic Glazing Sheets

  • Select your required shape from our menu above via the Cut To Shape tab and enter the requested dimensions
  • If the shape you require is not available, please email us a drawing of your requirements and we will quote you,
  • If you'd like to send us a drawing of your requirements you can also upload it using our Quote Calculator.  It will arrive with our team once you have placed your order through our checkout.

That's it. If we have any questions, we'll be in touch.  We'll deliver the panels you need safely, ready to go in your greenhouse.

How do I fit replacement greenhouse panels?

If your replacement panels are the same size and thickness as your original panels you should be able to fit them in exactly the same way. On wooden frames you can even drill and screw polycarbonate on, it won’t break.
If you prefer, we can drill any holes for you, just let us know how many you'd like (we generally recommend a hole every 300mm) by completing the optional extras section when you place your order.

Are there any independent reviews of polycarbonate greenhouse glazing ?
Yes, you might find this article interesting - read here to see what The Telegraph gardening section say too.
How do I install the polycarbonate greenhouse panels myself ?

First things first - buy polycarbonate greenhouse glazing panels which are the same size as your original panels then you can fit them in exactly the same way and use the same clips that you already have. On wooden frames, you can choose to drill the polycarbonate on or use putty.  If you would like us to pre-drill holes in your polycarbonate for you we can do that so your holes are ready for you when the panels are delivered.

How do I order polycarbonate panels to fit my greenhouse ?
Write down the sizes of your existing panes - these sizes are what you will need to order your new polycarbonate replacements.  Simply enter these measurements into our  Cut To Size calcuator above.   Using this method, the panels will be ready to fit straight onto your greenhouse.

How durable is polycarbonate ?

As polycarbonate is so strong, you can be confident you'll not need to replace the panels anytime soon. The material is also ideal for making cold frames and cloches, as well as replacing glass to make vulnerable doors and windows more secure.

What effect does UV have on polycarbonate ?
Solar radiation has a particularly harmful effect upon materials that are not protected.  Our multiwall polycarbonate comes with a UV protected surface, ensuring long-term optical quality even under UV exposure.
Why is polycarbonate good for greenhouse glazing ?

Our polycarbonate is 200x stronger than glass yet half its weight. This makes the material a superb, easy-to-use choice for replacing broken or existing greenhouse glass panels. We think it beats glass panels hands down - but don't take our word for it.
